how to place an order
About Dessert Works: Dessert Works is a from scratch, to order bakery. All of our items are trans fat free using only fresh, natural ingredients. All items are made on-site. This means we keep a limited inventory, so your cake is made custom start to finish, specifically for you, based on your order.
Odering Information: A limited selection of 6" (serving 4-8 people), 8" (serving 8-12 people) and 10" (serving 15-20 people) is available daily on a walk in basis. To guarantee a specific flavor and size, pre-ordering is required. Larger sized cakes, including sheet cakes, and cookie & pastry orderes (over 1 dozen) must be ordered in advance. How much in Advance: Generally all flavors and sizes are available with 4 days notice (for example, place your order by Tuesday for Friday pick-up). For customized designed cakes we require a minimum of 7 days- 2 weeks notice depdending on the level of intricacy. Although we do carry a limited selection of cakes and pastry each day in our shop for your last minute plans, we reccomend that you place orders with a minimum 4 days notice for cupcakes, gallettes, tarts, mini pastries, and individuals. Petit fours and customized frosted cookies require 7 days notice.
Payment: We require payment in full when placing your order, for all orders. Payment may be made by cash, check, Mastercard, or Visa when placing an order in store. When placing an order over the phone, payment may be made by Mastercard or Visa.
Custom/Reg. Cake Cancellation Policy: We have a 7 day cancellation policy in order to recieve a full refund. This is 7 days prior to the scheduled pick-up date and time. You must speak directly with a retail associate for a cancellation to be processed and considered recieved. We do not issue refunds for orders cancelled less than 7 days notice, and for items that are not picked up.
Order Changes: We ask for a minimum of 48 hours prior to scheduled pick-up date to be able to make changes to an order. Custom orders require 7 days notice for changes.
